Szmyt and the Hof are in the tradition of the great specialist this program has had. Those guys and the coverage teams are peak P era quality.

Only thing lacking are returners like Marvin, KJ, Turner, Missile. Riley has squeezed everything he can, but looking forward to the day when players like the prior list are on the field again.

I'm still convinced that he's surprised every time he hits a 50 yarder.
Is it just me, or does he look as if he never follows through? Even his long kicks, it looks like he's pulling up.

Will be First Team All-American. Who was the last SU player that could say that?
Tony Fiammetta was named 1st team All America by Pro Football weekly in 2008. Steve Ishmael made 2nd and 3rd team AA teams and Amba Etta-Tawo made 3rd and 4th AA teams. But Freeney was the last concensus first team AA.

It has been far too long.

I will never understand Tony Fiametta.

Like, the guy was supposedly awesome, went on to the NFL. And who knows what we ever did with him.

You know what we didn't do? Give him the ball. Ever. Total of 44 touches in for years here. And I don't want to hear anything special about the number 44 in this context. It sucks. Absolute waste.

The LSU kicker has almost identical stats, but Andre is 3-3 from greater than 50 yards.

Good job Dre. You da besss. Side note, I’m at the bills game and I feel like a packed dome is louder than this stadium. Am I wrong? I’ve had a lot to drink but I’m just not a overly impressed.

A non-packed Dome is much louder even.

I recently rewatched the 1998 Syracuse-Tennesee game on YouTube. Towards the end of the game one of the announcers mentions the only place louder than the Dome is Death Valley LSU.

And he’s not a FR or kick in a Dome.

Need a GW-FG against Notre Dame and break that 31 to win. Or LSU dude to misfire...

Funny how the single season NCAA FG record- where Andre is 4 away from tying the reocrd, has only one guy above him whose numbers didn't include a bowl. He breaks it before the bowl game in my opinion then essentially chases himself the next 3 years.
