Apparently the BCS is now considering scaling back its involvement in post-season bowls.
It would simply pick the two top teams and stage a NC game.
The bowls would apparently go back to something resembling the old system - conferences would battle conferences in rivalry bowl games.
The move would perhaps make the bowls more relevant tham they have been in recent years.
But the elimination of the BCS AQ would seem to nullify the latest conference realignment moves.
And, the move might further consolidate power in the SEC and I guess the Pac 12, Big 10 and Big 12(?).
One thing is for certain, right now - there is no certainty when it comes to college football.
