Since its slow, and our season ended with another center getting grounded... I thought I'd look forward to next year's MM and see what ppl think.

Where I currently live, march madness doesn't exist ... in fact, at times, its me and the bartender on the Thurs/Fri watching the games (I even got interviewed by the local tv station this year b/c they wanted a piece on how crazy it is for americans). So I made a promise to myself I'll fly somewhere else next year. In doing so, I'd like to see where ppl think is the best place to watch it.

My top 2 were Vegas --- simply b/c everyone bets the underdog and goes nuts throughout every game. Really cool environment.

My second was my past hometown of Hoboken... bars would fill up around 1030-11am. Doors would be open and the crowd there was great. (I'm speaking of near the path).

I'm open to other suggestions across the US that are great. Is NOLA good for opening weekend? Other casino locations? Two of my friends did AC this year and said it was pretty good. Oh and there seemed to be a lot of "ppl" on spring break which added to it.

Thoughts?

Can anything match the environment of a packed in Vegas during opening weekend? Free drinks flying, fans from all over the country coming together to watch and bet the sport they live and die with. MM in Vegas is off the charts.

Im partial to a 12 pack of PBR, a sausage and mushroom pizza and my couch.

This man speaks troof. 1st weekend of the tourney at a good in Vegas is bucket-list type awesome.

I agree... and I've been there myself... just looking for other options/ideas

I HAVE to do that sometime. Sounds off the freaking hook!

I think any resort-type city during Spring Break will be cool. I have been to Sarasota, Key West, and Fort Myers during tourney time and it's always a good time with lots of fans of all major teams.

Personally I don't think Vegas can be beat for opening weekend. Haven't done it in about 4 or 5 years. Pretty sure I'm due for it this year.
