anyone watch the ducks game v stanford ? that dude kelly doesn't even flinch on 4th and whatever. runs his O to the line as fast as he can and tries to catch the D guessing. worked last nite for 2 easy scores. can't even imagine marrone ever trying the same approach. he's wwaaayyyy too deliberate. must take him 15 minutes to pick out his socks in the morning .that and the whole talent gap issue.

kelly is the honey badger.

Kelly's offense also has matured to the level it is now and he has the talent to run it effectively. Our staff needs to show us, in time, that they are able to recruit the type of game-breakers that a top caliber program requires; then let us witness what develops. Until then, I don't see Doug Marrone at where he wishes to be with his offense.

oregon got outgained last night and won with several big plays. do nothing but put bailey in that offense and tell me he scores on those plays. you dont need elite talent but you need at least B+level guys. shoot if we could just the the texas/fl leftovers we would be much better.. maybe thats what we should do is higher a high profile texas HS coach to get a better handle on those types of kids..

the yards and points were a bit wacky last night. ton of scoring not that many yards for either team.

Kelly's approach is the way the game should be played.

It's going to be a while before everyone else realizes this though.

still goes back to one thing.. Players making plays. You can review the entire USF game and not sure you find a single play where our play makers made the USF guys miss a tackle. we get the minimum out of almost every play, runs go until the D shows up, passes go to where they are caught. the only big plays are when we confuse the other teams D. nassib made a few nice decisions to run and they go for 4-6 yds. Lemon has actually made a few plays lately, we need someone else too. Graham it seems every time he has a chance drops the ball.

gulley in his few plays before injury actually made people miss, we need more of that,

i couldn't believe he went for 2 on the very 1st TD. 8-0.

What an offense that is. So much speed.

It's hilarious that I read various message boards across the country proclaiming him a bust after his first game. He's a great coach and I wish Marrone would try to emulate what Oregon does.

He does that a lot. It's because he knows his offense controls the game.
