Iowa has lost a lot of O talent to the NFL lately. Plus, with the Portal now, things can go sideways ultra fast; you really have to be on the ball with your roster.Receiving yards after 3 weeks:
Charlie Jones 474
Iowa 376
Also - Oronde!!
6/8 - 112 yarfs, 2 TD's
non-Oronde receivers - 7/21 - 69 yarfs. NOT niiiiice. At all.
Noticed that too. Did he give the same stats for the prior 2 games?Thought it was interesting to see that we had more success vs man than vs zone, although both were sub par compared to the 2 previous games. No doubt the two big TD to Gadsen were man and skew the stats too.
Not UConn - but vs Louisville. Can’t find it - but was similar, only better across the board for both, which makes senseNoticed that too. Did he give the same stats for the prior 2 games?
I feared Leary and the NC State passing game were a bit overhyped this offseason ... but they've been straight-up bad so far. (And the Wolfpack defense is rounding into form nicely.)

Great point!just showing how stats get skewed as well
Purdue 77 plays for 485 remove the one long td pass for 55 77 for 430 5.6 yds pp
SU 65 for 306.. Flip any one of the long wide open pass plays for 70 yds 65 for 370 = 5.7 yd pp
we catch ours they dont and its an even game they had the ball 2 more times and run 12 more plays thats almost 75 yds of offense.. but then we scored on the 1 possession we never had the ball.
Stats are more even than you think. same number of plays per drive. The big thing was more big plays for Purdue and that adds up.
yea we hit any of the wide open plays with good throws and we score 21-28 pts and put up 200-250 yds. Purdues big plays were at least covered ours we beat ourselves.Great point!
