Brohm not taking points early

Even worse, he didn't know distance. He thought it was 4th and 1. Your head coach doesn't know what's going on...
Uno reverse card from Dino last year

I think they were rushing the play because they didn’t want a review of the “catch” on third down. The catch may have not been overturned on review, but if it had been called incomplete on the field. It never would have been reversed on review. Personally, and I’ve watched it 6 times, I think he was out. But, hey it worked out for SU.

Yup. They rushed to the line to get that play off to limit the opportunity for a review. More than that, they marched down the field with relative ease and then rolled the diced thinking they could get the yards needed AND avoid a review. Hindsight is 20/20, but in the moment if I were a Purdue fan, I wouldn't have a problem with the chance that Brohm took there.

Yup. Think calculus is either fourth and long with longer field goal or fourth and three. I would have done the same there.

Problem is they went fast and didn't have to (think they were worried about a replay). Purdue had so many of those short passes in their arsenal, I couldn't believe they didn't go for the 4th down before their actual field goal. I guess because of what happened the first time.

All worked out in our favor.

This is correct, it actually wasn't even close to a catch and had me fuming "Here we go again" with the BIG refs that they didn't stop play to review it. Luckily they turned out to be fair.

Yeah, if that's not out but Alford's was, I just don't understand how that works.

I knew nothing about Brohm until this week. He reminds of me of Frost in terms of being a smug jerk.
I would love to know what he was writing on those two pieces of paper. Every time they showed him he either was yelling at someone or writing on one of those pieces of paper.

We need a WR with name recognition like Jones. He had a great day but also committed offensive PI more than once and obviously this. Because he's a know entity he gets the call every time, hopefully Gadsden's name shortly Garner's the same leeway

On that last long TD from Jones, he had a subtle push on Williams. I thought Williams was getting into position to intercept the ball before the nudge.

The out route where he pushed off at the break as well which was pretty egregious. Don't recall if was same play as pictured where he landed OB?

In fairness, before Jones transferred to Purdue there wasn't really much he'd done at Indiana to suggest he'd be this productive.

He's basically our Amba.

he never goes to purdue if he was not friends with the QB from early years of playing

Yes

Iowa
Correct but what do you expect from Ferentz meat head football, the only receivers they produce out of Iowa City are TEs who excel in the NFL

Brohms inept coaching cost Purdue the Penn State game with terrible clock management and play calling at the end (his brother is the OC)

Although he’s the highest paid person at Purdue their are rumors every year about him returning to his alma mater Louisville which may happen sooner than later.
