When he committed here I thought he was a guy that would always ride the pine and maybe see some minutes here and there..

but man is he really good. Dude is a hard worker and even though he isn’t really athletic at all, he has some really really good skills. Stuff that takes years to develop, u can tell he puts a ton of time in the gym.

Hmmm...

I like Buddy. Yeah, he gets more minutes than he should at the expense of developing other players. However, he is solid and I like his game and really like his development. I also think that having him starting the game with Kadary would leave people with a much different perception. Instead, we have Buddy playing with Joe (for the majority of minutes) who really isn't to the caliber of a starting point guard in the ACC which doesn't help Buddy. Buddy is solid, I like the young man.

Hi Buddy!

3 star talent out of high school. Can he lead us to the promised land? He is a hard worker and has developed that drive to the middle of the lane where he puts up his soft shot. Wish he had better hops so he could dunk on guys. And he got his mother’s good looks so he has that going for him as well.

If he played 30 minutes a night and had the same short leash after mistakes that other players seem to have there would not be, and could not be, a complaint.

He is a perfect 2nd orr 3rd option who moves up to 1st option on the occasions like the first half the other night.

He hits the three, he drives the lane and takes it to the rim, he backs guys down and hits fade away jumpers.

unfortunately you need to play both halves of a basketball game.

I admire Buddy because it is clear that he works hard on his game. His defense is somewhat better this year and he is nowhere near the liability on d that JG3 is. Pretty evident he bleeds orange.
My biggest issues with him are as follows. When he makes a shot or two he becomes a human heat check and takes bad shots, partially negating the progress the team made made with the makes. You can't fully enjoy his success because you know we will have to pay a price. Also passing is almost an afterthought for him so when he does pass he often has limited options and is under pressure, leading to turnovers. Lastly he is awful at getting loose balls, rarely willing to give up his body or hit the floor.
The kid is a terrific asset who would be even more valuable with better shot selection.

I have seen him drive past his man numerous times and bank it or lay it in. It's not his top offensive skill but he has it in his arsenal.
Sure

The diving on the floor for loose balls drives me nuts. I’ve been very annoyed at our lack of hustle and urgency to get loose balls. We need to go after the ball like it’s the most important thing in the world and we don’t. I hate that. It’s not just buddy, it’s most of the team IMO.
