Not usually a Buzz Williams fan. I do want to emulate his time out "speech" to his team when they were down 18-2 to Louisville. Supposedly he called time out and then said nothing, not one word, just looked at them for 30 seconds. They came back and won. I almost tried it last night when my 6th grade team got behind 12-0 after the 1st quarter. All I said was "Do you want to win?"... heads nod a couple yes's..."Then act like it" and I sat down. We won 27-19. I knew we were better than the other team so it wasn't a matter of x's and o's, just effort.
I was so hoping you lost something like 34-6. That would have been hilarious.
In any case, good job on the comeback.
I quit coaching youth football after this last season. 14 years, don't even have a kid who plays anymore. It was fun while it lasted but just got wore out.
BFD... a gratuitous platitude from one of the 3 stooges.
But it was just coach speak they say. They can't face the truth. It's not a coincidence coaches are saying this, it's not just 1 or 2 or 3 or 4, it's been every coach they have faced has had something great to say.
why? in his opinion, could very well be the case.I like all this positive press and everything, but that just sounds crazy.
