I’m thinking (and hoping) that Nolton will be ready to handle the snaps/ role that Linton had.

I don’t think either is a prototypical 3 down DL player in a 3 man front, even in our agility over size/ strength scheme, but our fronts and pressures are varied - there is a place for tweeners to shine in this D.
