Can't get into Chat room

It's till a problem on Google, (and there are no other problems I can find- just with the chatroom.
I can call up the chatroom but I get no cursor in the message field. After a minute or so I get a dialog box that says:
"PAGE(S) UNRESPONSIVE
The following page(s) have become unresponsive. You can wait for them to become responsive or kill them."
Then they list:
"Chatrooms
Syracuse Basketball Board"
There are two buttons "Kill" and "Wait".
I pressed "Kill" and got Google's "Snap" screen announcing that that web page is not available. I get it both for the chatroom and Syracusefan.com
