Try the veal.Heading to Grand Cayman to the Kimpton Seafire on Saturday for 5 nights. Have done pretty much no research beyond a few YouTube videos. Anyone ever been? Any recommendations on the island?
Rated 4.8/5.0 @ $899/night looks great never stayed there. Better be nice for that price. Have a good time.Heading to Grand Cayman to the Kimpton Seafire on Saturday for 5 nights. Have done pretty much no research beyond a few YouTube videos. Anyone ever been? Any recommendations on the island?
we've been a couple times on cruises. as I'm sure you know, beautiful beaches and cool bars. the one unique thing we loved was going to "Hell". cool rock formations and go to their post office to send out some post cards that are post marked from "Hell".Heading to Grand Cayman to the Kimpton Seafire on Saturday for 5 nights. Spent a week on Seven Mile Beach at a smaller boutique type condo resort. Really nice. We had a car so we traveled all over. Found some good non-touristy places to eat off the beaten path. Grand Cayman is one of the more expensive islands, so eating out gets pricey. We took a sailboat to Rum Point. That was good. We've been to a lot of places and this checked off a lot. Great beaches, friendly people, easy to get around, real good food.Heading to Grand Cayman to the Kimpton Seafire on Saturday for 5 nights. Thankfully my wife has IHG Diamond Elite status and we used points for the most part. Would never think of paying that much to stay anywhere.Rated 4.8/5.0 @ $899/night looks great never stayed there. Better be nice for that price. Have a good time.
Yeah I think the sterile part seems like what I'm expecting and why I haven't put much effort into it. Usually I'm building an itinerary but for this one it doesn't seem like there is much to be all that interested or excited in outside of just pure relaxation. Have become much more interested in doing nothing instead of having to always be doing something on vacation since crossing over 40.Went in 2019. We stayed at the Westin (amazing point redemption rate at the time). The island is sort of "sterile" which was great for a first Caribbean experience with a young family. Seven Mile Beach is really nice. Locals are very polite. We did touristy things like Turtle Farm, Hell, and the boat ride to Stingray City, with a visit to Rum Point. All worth doing if you want to break up beach time. Didnt hit the east side of the island at all or venture into George Town. It was pricey because of the British affiliation. Saved some money eating off resort.
This is basically where we stayed. We were there about a month later. Google Maps
I recall the Seafire being at the northern end of Seven Mile Beach. It was either just built or still under construction but looked nice and was in a quieter area.
I may have posted on it back when.
They let you throw rocks into it and it makes amazing sounds. Yes the post cards are a must have. It’s not worth driving there. Just take a taxi and let them wait for your photo opp. The taxi understands.we've been a couple times on cruises. as I'm sure you know, beautiful beaches and cool bars. the one unique thing we loved was going to "Hell". cool rock formations and go to their post office to send out some post cards that are post marked from "Hell".
