It's absolutely amazing they're 6-2 with wins @ a good UNLV, @ NC ST, GT, VT. They haven't come close to having a ceiling game and if it wasn't for a wrong route, which led to a pick 6 and special teams missing FG's vs Stanford and this could be a 7-1 team. I'd say the best they've played was 50% of their ceiling. I think the closest was UNLV because the offense played the absolute best I think they could, but the defense left a lot to be desired, and that was the worst ST's game i've ever seen and we've had some bad one this year. It would be great if we can stack this game and beat BC with a hobbled Castellanos who can't pass. Cal has fallen apart and injured, and UMass. Give me 2-1 and i'll take that ceiling game vs Miami. 9-3 should be the expectation. VT will be the best team until Miami who they should be able to score against, but could also give up 60 with our lack of tackling and poor coverage. Let's build on this.

This defense - both the players and scheme - make this ceiling lower than you think unfortunately. When punts aren’t getting blocked and we’re not throwing pick 6’s the defense has been a complete letdown when we need them to make stops. Just a fact.

Maybe going forward the O can be more consistent - there is some hope they are finding a sliver of a run game… and JRS is coming around… and we may kneel before Zeed before the season is over.

Cal absolutely crushed Oregon State last week, that’ll be a tough game. But it’s winnable.

This seems like a team that likes momentum and that’s why they’ve had rough goes after the byes. I like our chances to be 9-2 going into the biggest game in the Dome in a generation.

Definitely will be tough, especially going out west, but they haven’t won a conference game. Stanford has been getting boat raced in every game except vs us. I still can’t believe that’s the one we lost otherwise they’re 7-1 going into some very winnable game. I also won’t be surprised if we lose all besides UConn. That would be extremely disappointing considering we haven’t come close to putting a full game together , or either a really good game. I’d rather be 6-2 and know you can be so much better. I like the idea that we build off momentum and coming off byes have been tough.
