He earned every accolade he’s getting tonight. Played his tail off and stabilized the middle when nobody else had a clue. While Zion still abused him when given the chance, PC fared well overall and was disruptive. The boards were gigantic and chipping in 10 unexpected pts was a real difference maker.

Effort? Really? Ability, yes.confidence yes. Not effort. He’s a nice kid who doesn’t have that mean streak. Some confuse that with a lack of effort.

It’s not the case, a lack of toughness might be more accurate.

He didn’t play because the coach wanted more production out of the position. Nobody on the staff questions his effort either. They love that kid.

That’s the one thing I wouldn’t question with him. He’s a 210-220 string bean that looks injured half the time banging against dudes with 30+ lbs on him and far more strength and leverage. His effort is the last thing I’d call him out for.
