So I would say there's no actual reporting that he's a target or interested at this time. More an interesting name.

BH was just on the Dusty and Danny Show on Sirius XM. Impressive dude. They asked him about the Cuse gig and how he keeps the team and himself focused with the rumors out there. He talked about how Red is a good friend of his and he hated seeing a friend lose a job, especially at a school he gave so many years of his life to. He didn’t try to say “I’m not going anywhere” which was refreshing.

He knows how important gaining trust and building relationships with the Syracuse Basketball alumni will be if he has this job. Because Red may not be head coach anymore, but he is still Orange.

IMO, you simply could not pass over the senior staff member, who had more staff responsibilities than Gerry, no known issues, and is a minority. SU would have been skewered.
