TCB baby. Exactly what the doctor ordered. Could still do without some of the sloppy plays and turnovers. Clean it up and get ready.

Just checked the score. What a emphatic win! Haven't had a chance to watch the game or check stats yet. How'd Varello do against Orr?

Orr got 9 of 14.
BUT our multiple backups won 11 out of 12 faceoffs, wing play was great as well.

Yup . Varello was 5-14, but Delisle was 5-7 and Phaup (in mop-up duty) was 3-3. Oh, and Martin was 1-1. :)

Caught the first half and felt like they missed some opportunities. Did some spring cleaning and was pleasantly surprised to see the final score. Probably pop the rest of the game on later. Just based on watching the first half though, nice to see Madonna back to what we've gotten used to seeing, much better shot placement from the offense, and some better defensive play.

Not easy to come back from a game like UVA with some of the hate mail he got and play like he did today. Lots of HHH from that guy all season.

Nice to see the D actually hit people and not swing and olé dodgers.

good win statement today. offense really ripping the rubber on goal. those were some awesome bullets.

I know I am really late to this party, I was out of town and away from TV during the game, I got to watch it this afternoon. Very pleased overall. Goes to my point in other threads that when SU attacks, they score more and win. By attack I refer to aggressive transition game, movement away from the ball in set offense with crisp clean passes inside and willing to play scrappy, especially around the net.

Still see too much slowing things down when transition isn't "perfect". This needs to stop because the defense gets used to doing the minimum to slow up the transition game and this allows the D to change our personnel for the defense specialist (I know, SU changes out for their offensive specialists, too). the benefit to keeping the pressure on is that offense is in control, defense must react. Also, most teams do NOT go as deep as SU and running their legs off pays off in the third and especially fourth quarters.

Liked the FOGO by committee, we won more than usual and the wings seemed aggressive.
