How the heck do you appeal accademics. You either answered correctly or incorrectly. You either showed up or skipped. Where does the appeal come in to play?

Could be appealing a grade on a paper. I did it once.

Yes, FERPA is a federal law protecting a student's academic records.

It only says he didn't make the road trip, which is two games long. It could be longer, but as of right now, he isn't with the team and it sounds like it's indefinitely.

If the difference between eligible/ineligible is a single grade somewhere (C to B), he can appeal it and have it reviewed. I.E. all the work he did, the grades received, and how that became the final grade.

If a player did not attend some classes at all or did no work you can't really appeal that.

Not sure what situation is here. Probably will hear more.
