Just a few years back, 1997, and for a few decades before that Rupp had the most wins of any D1 coach. Hard to believe with 3 more wins JB is tied with Dean Smith and behind only Bob Knight and coach K. JB's humility is refreshing.

I'm hoping he stays at least long enough to pass Bobby Knight. He should pass knight around this time next year if he stays.

I actually had a JB t-shirt when I was a kid. I've long admired him and would love to see him pass Bobby Knight as well. Heck, I'd also like to see a sweep of Duke and UNC, but I am not sure how keen he will be about coaching in the ACC. I really wish he could keep extending his Big East record of wins so that Dixon or others would have less chance of passing him someday.

After 4 more wins, JB will have more wins than any other D1 coach at one school. Remember K was at Army for 5 years.

No worries of Dixon catching him since he's gone from the Big East when we leave. Calhoun will probably pass him if they stay in the Big East, especially with 18 league games per year and about 14 of those being against garbage teams.
