Any chance our boy scores an invite to the selection show? His nation leading stats suggest yes, but I think he’s buried behind more celebrated players. Would be great for the program.

They take how many?

Three?
It varies year-by-year. I feel like it's usually four, but sometimes three or five. McNabb finished 5th in 1998 and wasn't invited.

McCord had a wonderful year but he's behind about 10-15 other players in the pecking order.

Correct. The invites vary year to year based on how concentrated the vote is. They technically could only invite jeanty and Hunter this year with the vote so concentrated between just those two if they wanted

Oops. You beat me to it.

I wondered this too. I bet Ward might finish 3rd and Kyle just outdueled him.

I'm struggling to think who would be 3-4-5?

Weird year for the Heisman as the top ranked teams QBs are not considered. Milroe at bama and Nico at Tenny weren't consistent enough to get in the conversation and we will likely see Jeanty from outside the power 4 win it. I think Shedur splits some of Travis Hunters votes as well possibly.

With our record, McCord would have needed better stats to have a shot, specifically TD/int. 29/12 doesn't get you in the heisman conversation. He needed more like 40/6 just to get mentioned since he doesn't have much in the way of rushing stats. When Lamar Jackson won he threw for 3543, 30/9. But he also ran for 1571 and 21 tds. And his stats were really close to that the next year when he lost.

I think the winner has to be Jeanty. As others have said 1 or 2 more wins and he’s invited, but I think the showing against Pitt cost him any opportunity of getting an invite.
Hunter’s odds went from -10,000 yesterday to -2500 after Jeanty performance last night. That still only gives Jeanty a 4% chance to win. We’ll see if the markets have it right.

Yeah.

Reverse Pitt at 5/0 v 0/5 and a win, and we are:
A) in the playoff conversation (not on)
B) 10-2
C) he is at 34 TD / 7 Int v 29/12

That might get him consideration for an invite

Cam 2nd to Kyle McCord Ward gets the invite?
Yeah I mean I don’t get that. If ward wins the game so be it but he didn’t. And if Jeanty doesn’t win, that will be criminal. Look at what he did versus Reggie bush and Derrick Henry when they won. He blew their numbers outta the water. But Hunter will be the winner bc of popular vote

Cam is the projected 1 or 2 draft pick. It's a tv show.

I'm good with Travis Hunter or Geanty getting it. The two QBs? Nope.

If we had 1 less loss I think the end of the season would be a buzzkill having to watch 2 teams we never played play for the ACC title. No Kyle Heisman buzz would have sucked too.

How many bets do you make a day? I mean hour.

Look at their stats. I love Kyle and he's had a great season and we got the important thing - the win vs Miami. But let's not make Rutgers Al look like a voice of objectivity and reason
