Not sure. Right now I don't think this year's team needs him, but next year is the year for SU to make a serious run at a title and I think they will need him and Burke both to be ready.

Orange Jump to No. 3
Syracuse men ranked 3rd after dominant win in Wisconsin
Following its dominant win at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational, the Syracuse men's cross country team jumped three spots to No. 3 in this week's USTFCCCA poll.

It's the highest the Orange has ever been ranked in the history of the poll.

Syracuse showcased its depth in a big way in Friday's meet that featured 19 ranked teams, placing all five of its scorers in the top-24, cruising to a 69-point victory over the next closest team (No. 5 Iona).

Junior Martin Hehir earned ACC Men's Performer of the Week for his seventh-place finish (23:55).

The women's team finished 12th at Wisconsin on Friday and are ranked 16th in this week's poll.

Both the men's and women's teams are still the highest ranked teams in the Northeast Region as they have been in every regional poll this season.

The Orange head to the ACC Championships on Oct. 31, with the men's team looking to defend its title in Charlottesville, Va.
