It just doesn’t make sense. Did St Louis have a parade for the Rams for last years super bowl? Or Cleveland when the Ravens won?

You move to a different state change your name. If they want to call themselves the tri-state Giants sure… haha. But quit riding NY’s coattails

I know - odd argument. Sure their address is a stone’s throw from the border, but they’ve been called the NY Giants forever.

I’ve been hearing this argument a lot from Bills fans when I tell them who I cheer for. “They’re not even from NY!”

So? You know how many Patriot/Dolphin/Philly/Cowboy/Steeler fans etc. live around here?

I think Yale stadium is like 70,000 capacity so they probably couldn’t find a NY place that size

I was too young at that time to know if they were trying to stay in NY but NY refused to give public tax dollars or not so they moved to NJ?

On another note, I don’t think NY should be giving the Bills $850 million in public funds to stay in Buffalo either

But, I disagree, it is very different than Rutgers. The NY Giants shared Yankee Stadium until 1976. At that point they needed their own stadium for obvious logistical reasons. The space simply does not exist in NYC to build a major stadium complex.

NJ offered to build the stadium, 7 miles from the border.

I get the whole address thing, but they’re the NY Giants, and they always will be. And even if they moved to Boise, they’d still be my squad.

NY should be happy they’re repping them in pro football, no other teams even sniff their championship pedigree out of the 3.

Why not? UConn calls itself the "Sixth Borough" of New York.
