Well, in the 90's you had Seikaly, Douglas, Coleman, Owens, Wallace...was Dave Johnson still in the league at the same time? Anyone else I'm missing as well?

i was trying to figure it out for the 90s as well and could only get to a max of six... i believe danny schayes would be in there as well and raf addison too..

Sherm (90-01)
Raf Addison (87-97)
Coleman (91-05)
Owens (92-01)
Moten (96-98)
Wallace (97-04)
Seikaly (89-99)
Danny Schayes (82-99)
Rich Manning (96-97)

So 1997 was apparently the height of former Syracuse players in the NBA.

nice ... so then if no one moves on to europe we could break that mark in a few years.

there's no guarantee Jonny, Wes, Donte, or Hac will be in the league even next year, it's not like they are all starters and playing well. Wes does start but get 5 points per game

The 1995-96 and 1996-97 seasons - Syracuse had nine active players in the NBA.

These are the seasons where Syracuse had four or more active NBA players.

Yes, I'm bored...

I don't recall which year it was, but there was an article in one of the mags that year about players in the NBA and where they went to school. We were 2nd to UNC who had 12. We had 10 or 11 at that point in time the article was written. I think it was when Ellis spent a short time there.

Hard to believe Danny Schayes played that many years in the NBA. I
think he and Jason Hart really made the most of their talent in terms of staying power in the NBA.

While Jonny has been called by several observers the "worst player in the NBA," Donte has really improved and has become a solid bench contributor . . .he has played himself into a 2nd contract. Wes has two more years guaranteed, and I think he, too, will play himself into a 2nd contract. As I posted in another thread yesterday: " Rick Adelman loves his activity and his potential defensively, that's why he starts him every single game. After suffering through a long slump through the first half of the season, his jumper is more effective now - he is shooting .397 from three over the last 20 games. It is far too early to close the books on Wes, especially when Adelman is so determined to keep giving him (the) reps" that young players need to develop. Hak is lost in a bad numbers game in Phoenix and he could be moved this offseason, but he has 2 years left on his contract and probably at least that many productive years in his legs, too.

I don't see any reason why, eventually, Wes couldn't develop into a more athletic Bruce Bowen.

Not exactly living up to his draft spot, but it means he could carve out a specific niche. Lock down defender and spot up three point shooter.

LeRon Ellis?

yup, he is definitely a disappointment vis a vis his draft position, but it is far too soon to call him a bust
