Will be interesting to see if it moves up or down.I would take Nova with the points. As I opined in another thread, I see a 1/3 chance of Nova winning close, a 1/3 chance of SU winning close, and a 1/3 chance of SU winning more comfortably. So IMHO, taking Nova and four doesn't look too bad.
glad it wasn't -1.
Just that -1 would indicate that the oddsmakers felt that 'Nova was the better team (since we have a point advantage playing at home). If 'Nova was a slight favorite or we were -7, those numbers would indicate a so called trap. In those type of instances, regardless of public perception that they always want even money on both sides, they are trying to entice the public to select a certain side. These instances are rare but occur. Remember that they have all the numbers (Kenpom etc) at their disposal but are still willing to put a strange number on a game.I'm curious, why did you say that? Is that indicative of a trap or something?
I know someone answered this question in another thread(I saw it in my alerts but never got around to checking it), but what amount of points are given to a team for home court advantage like the 3 that are in the NFL? I'd like to first know how the books see us if we were matched up on a neutral court before I weigh in.
