I would take Nova with the points. As I opined in another thread, I see a 1/3 chance of Nova winning close, a 1/3 chance of SU winning close, and a 1/3 chance of SU winning more comfortably. So IMHO, taking Nova and four doesn't look too bad.

Will be interesting to see if it moves up or down.

I know someone answered this question in another thread(I saw it in my alerts but never got around to checking it), but what amount of points are given to a team for home court advantage like the 3 that are in the NFL? I'd like to first know how the books see us if we were matched up on a neutral court before I weigh in.

On home court and the spreads, I found this: http://www.boydsbets.com/college-basketball-home-court-advantage/ among others.

It seems the advantage differs per team/arena. With that in mind, it seems as though the books are saying this would basically be a "pick em" on a neutral court, if the Dome with 30,000 fans is where I'd expect it to be in terms of advantage. I know that would send some folks here ballistic. For some people it's probably a good thing the government makes gambling (like anything else it cant look decent taxing, such as the world's oldest profession) difficult.

Is the dome(considering the amount of fans at this game) worth less or more than 4 points in your opinion?

I'm curious, why did you say that? Is that indicative of a trap or something?
Just that -1 would indicate that the oddsmakers felt that 'Nova was the better team (since we have a point advantage playing at home). If 'Nova was a slight favorite or we were -7, those numbers would indicate a so called trap. In those type of instances, regardless of public perception that they always want even money on both sides, they are trying to entice the public to select a certain side. These instances are rare but occur. Remember that they have all the numbers (Kenpom etc) at their disposal but are still willing to put a strange number on a game.

On Sagarin's site, he currently assigns a 3.62 ppg for home-court advantage.

If you're being objective, the play today is Nova +165 on the ML
