This kid reminds me a little of Kevin Mitchell. Technique, strength and quickness eliminate any size disadvantage.

Honestly, Purdue's style of play absolutely helped Darton shine yesterday. No one we play going forward, will be this slanted toward the passing game, with the utter exclusion of a running attack. How will he hold up against an inside rushing attack opponent? No one can convince me that bringing in an experienced veteran DT, if not to start, but even simply as added depth, wouldn't have helped this D. I mean, we basically wasted a scholly on a wideout transfer, that brings no added value to the wide receiver corp.

Tbh he’s not massive but he also doesn’t look or play “small” either. He doesn’t look like a guy who’s small and making playing just out of sheer determination. He’s got decent size, he’s determined as hell, and looks powerful.

There was one play where he totally blew up the OL and made the TFL. Came right back and was a pest on the next rush as well. This kid is relentless on every down it seems.

Yeah those plays were actually the ones in my mind when I wrote that. Loved his energy and he looked a lot bigger while making those plays than he is. Some guys just play bigger and he certainly does
