I look at it a little differently. Dajuan will never be a greyhound up and down the court, but he could still play in games like this IF he made the small, quick teams pay with his size and power. But, instead he made the classic Dajuan play - carve out space, grab an offensive board, bring the ball down to his ankles instead of going right back up with it, get stripped. If DC doesn't improve his speed getting down the floor, he will not play many minutes against teams like Nova was today. Speed kills and DC can't keep up. NC will run, run and run some more. While they have been up and down they will be up for us.
I appreciate DC's attitude. He's a MCD's AA who dreamed of the NBA who is lucky to get 5-10 minutes a game here right now. And he handles it like a man and a great teammate. I'm sure many of us saw him standing and cheering on the D when no one else was. Dude is into it.
It would be easy for him to pout or get frustrated. He's a selfless kid with good character. Hopefully his game evolves.
next yr is DC2s yr! this yr JB trusts keita way more and that wont change until keita graduatesYeah, the great thing for DaJuan is he has a couple guys to commiserate with in Rak and Baye. Their minutes have yo-yo'ed throughout their tenure here, and it's probably nice to have that support system in place.
I don't have a ton of confidence in him (as compared to Rak/Baye), but he is very much needed, and he has had and will have his moments. Hopefully he continues to progress as the season moves along and he has a Baye like end-of-season run in him.
Please though, for love of god, quite bringing the ball down. PLEASE!!!

His game is evolving. Provided he can get healthy and not lose conditioning, he will be a significant contributor this season.I appreciate DC's attitude.
