Looking at the rankings I noticed that Syracuse got every first place vote in both the AP and the coaches.
I figured that this has to be a pretty rare occurrence so I checked all the polls available on ESPN.com and Syracuse is the only team this year to get every first place vote in either poll.
At no point last year did any team have every first place in either poll.
In 2011-2012, both Syracuse and Kentucky did it in the coaches poll, but nobody did it in the AP.
Ohio State, was the last team to accomplish the feat, and they did this in 2010-2011. They managed to hold it for two weeks. Lets see if we can beat their record.
I am wondering if Syracuse has ever had every first place vote in both polls at any time before, maybe somebody with better research skills than I have can figure it out.
A second notable achievement. Syracuse has gotten at least one first place vote in each poll in every week since week 5 (its now week 14). Pretty impressive stuff.
