KD to Golden State is crazy.
Wow, I'm in shock about that and don't understand that move. You are really, really close to taking out GS this year so why not come back and finish the job next year.

So KD decides to play 2nd fiddle to Steph. Ouch. He will go from hero in OKC to traitor. That bridge isn't burned it's torched. Now Westbrook will likely be gone next summer and that franchise will be gutted. Not a fan of these players banding together to form a few super teams while the others languish. I give Melo credit for staying with the NYK and trying to build his own franchise, even if never means a title.

Not really sure why GS makes this move. You won 75 games with your current squad...why mess with that chemistry? How much better will KD make them? There's only one ball on the court.

KD is close to Steph, Draymond and Iggy like Lebron is to Wade and Melo, that's why this happened.

There's a reason players haven't flocked to play with Melo.

They are replacing Harrison Barnes with a top 3 player in the league. They are going to be insane.

Yeah, like there isn't another good player on team (except last year for rookie KP) and the ownership is incompetent.

Golden State will be worse. IMO, they will never really jell and figure out who shoots and when. Plus, KD is not a great defender so I predict they will give up more points. They got more talent , for sure, but the most talented team doesn't always win. I also think that less shots for the splash brothers is a good thing for opponents, not to mention that putting on a player who just choked WCF away to the team that just choked the title away doesn't seem like a great move...

The Knicks kinda had their own "team-up" situation. But Amare's body fell apart(and he punched a fire extinguisher in the playoffs) and Chandler sucked in the playoffs every year and got traded...so the one guy that actually has always produced every single season catches the blame for the franchise not being in a good place.

They have the pieces to be absolutely unstoppable on offense. Those guys are smart and unselfish, I dont see offensive chemistry being an issue.

Defensively this doesnt help them any and they couldnt stop Cleveland when it mattered. But they can probably outscore them.

Odd on chance for a ring plus gets to live the high life in the Bay area.

Very surprised. OKC is right there. They really bolstered their backcourt with Oladipo, imo. Sabonis is going to be good. They made some good moves. Don't get it. Westbrook/Oladipo is going to be the fastest and most physically talented backcourt the NBA probably has ever seen.

KD is following the Lebron playbook -
go to a legit contender, win some rings, then a few years later, go back to your first franchise as the returning hero and win one there too.

GSW O is gonna go to plaid next year.

Dion gon' get PAID now.
Either to stay, or by whomever wants to pry him away from OKC.

I blame the whole bigmouth on ESPN "lol, how many rings does he have?" stupid H0T Takes culture for all of this.

Idiots were mocking Lebron for having no rings, saying Kobe was better, etc...so he went and made sure he got his rings. Now Durant is doing the same thing.

The best teams win. Knocking someone's greatness because their team isnt quite there is what caused all of this.

I'm surprised he didn't stay at OKC as well. However, he's now going from one of the top 3 teams favored to win a championship next year to an almost guaranteed championship barring injury. Why anyone would criticize that is beyond me. And the Bay area in particular San Francisco is one of the great cities in America- definitely more attractive IMHO than OKC. I for one can't wait to watch that team play next year.

Durant is weak. Leaving to join a 73 win team is as weak as it gets. If you're going to leave, leave for a team that you can push over the edge not a team already on the cusp of multiple titles.

I will take the field.

Golden State is going to be stacked, but only Green is a superior defensive player.

Remember when Payton and Malone went to the Lakes?

and they could knock out a few titles too :noidea:.

All those shots Barnes missed in games 5,6 and 7 will now go to KD.

And some of the shots Green, Curry, and Thompson made will now be going to KD....who shot around 30% when it REALLY mattered.

I know people are upset and trying to find any possible way they could lose, but this has to be the greatest amount of talent assembled since the 80's lakers or celtics. They are better than those Heat teams with Lebron.

There will be a certain amount of less shots for people maybe, but I could see Curry averaging say 10 assists instead of scoring 30 a game.

The best chance any other team has against them is KD and Curry aren't exactly mr durable, and roster spots 7-10 will be significantly weaker.
