Dion Waiters

Looks like a lot of hate on the sportc enter post about his deal...?

... on these haters, ball hard D Waiters ;)

Congrats to the most confident person on the planet - Pretty cool to see how happy Miami fans are to have him back. Dion is definitely a fan favorite in South Beach.

I really feel bad for the owners who have to pay all these dollars to the players. Poor poor owners. First they are forced to buy professional franchises, and then, to make matters worse, have to actually pay their players market value...all the while their team's values only reach the billion plus dollar mark.

Slightly underpaid in today's environment
He said all along he would give Miami a hometown discount. Seems he was true to his word so they can try to resign James Johnson and go after a Rudy Gay type.

Too lazy to look but who was Miami bidding against? The Knicks was smoke right?

As a heat fan after losing out on Hayward im totally cool bringing back Dwait and James johnson and going after a 30ish yr old former "star" like a Rudy gay. Dions only 25 and his best basketball is ahead of him. The heat hold their players highly accountable as they make them take progress pics and body fat tests weekly. There's a reason these players come to miami and end up in the best shape of their lives. Now we get to find out if the heat are really a 60ish win team as the 2nd half of last year showed. It might be feasible with how week the East is after the cavs, celts and raptors.

With many of the eastern conference stars moving out west how realistic are Dion's chances of making the all star team in the next few years?

60ish win team? You must be smokin' better sheet than me.

slim

There are 6 really good guards on what seem to be the top 4 teams right now. But if a few of them were injured, there is not much depth after that. Of course Dion would really need to step it up.

Really? They were 30-11 once the team gelled. From January to March they had the best record in the NBA (28-5). This was without Justice Winslow. East is now weakened. Are they going to win 60 games? Probably not, but they were trending that way during the 2nd half of the season.

Dion is now at 4,990. He will become only the 9th Syracuse player to ever score 5,000 career NBA points.

1. Melo 25,551
2. Bing 18,327
3. DC 12,884
4. Rony 9,991
5. Danny Schayes 8,780
6. Sherm 8,425
7. Billy Owens 7,026
8. Orr 5,545

If we can get Hakim back in the league for 10-15 games he could do it with some PT 4,947
-wes 4,218
- mcw 3,361
Jerami should be able to do it - 2,998
