Lets see what Carlos does vs Texas. Lighting up bottom tier programs isn't really what he was sold to us as. 8-9 assists and don't get torched by the other teams lead guard is what I want from him not him to be our best player and carry the team.

I think Carlos will be ok. We need to play with more poise and purpose on both ends of the court. We have some answers on offense. Defensively we will have to adjust to our personnel and play smart. We will be better next Tuesday. Players should be better listeners in practice today.

Carlos had a bad game, yes. But we shouldn’t overreact. He was solid at Hofstra. Yes I know it’s Hofstra but he still made all league defense there and was really solid with his assist and turnover numbers as well and played tougher teams than lemoyne.

I just draw this up to a bad game. I bet he plays a lot better next game.

i predict the current hierarchy red has for playing time on the team will change a lot by the end of the year and that eventually he will find a rotation that works

I think the early fouls limited his assertiveness on D. Remains to be seen.

Unfortunately watching Carlos take a late game FT last night confirmed what I thought -- he's afraid to look like a bad basketball player. His identity his whole life is he's a good basketball player and now for the first time he's on a big stage and clamming up. Unfortunately it's a vicious cycle because the more people who say he sucks, the more he'll clam up, and the more he'll clam up, the more people will say he sucks. Coach needs to find a way to help him clear his mind-- he doesn't need to prove to the world he's good at basketball, he just needs to go out there and play. If he does that, maybe he'll be serviceable.
