With Clark being DQd which is a heart breaker for him and his family although one im sure he will come back strong from because of the love and support he has at home the following are my thoughts on the DT unit this year.
Slayton, Williams: starters
Samuels next up
Ruff stays inside
Pick is groomed for inside
Grosevenor in rotation
Allen gets a look at both DE and DT
Frosh Harper and Elmore inside full back role limited to a few special packages. Primary role DT

Have to assume it's:

Slayton and Williams
Samuels and Ruff
Grosevenor

Harper will hopefully redshirt. I think Elmore is exclusively a running back.

Are there any names on the OLine that stick out as potential candidates to go to the DLine? Other than former LB Ruff, I can't imagine any of the current LB's making that move.

Maybe we should wait a day or two on this
Why because of Steven? None of us know if he should have been DQd or not. I personally feel that when there are conflicting medical opinions that a fair solution would be to provide the player and his family with the choice as long as they sign a liability release. Blood clots killers. But given his results and the clearance by two specialists i believe the choice should be his.
I participate in activities that could injure or kill me. Skiing, mountain climbing, White water rafting. It is my choice and when i ski i sign a release...
Im heart broken for Steven and in no way meant for this post to come across as callous or hurtful.

Don't sweat it. It's cool.

I've heard the same.

The position goes 6 deep, including Ruff and a frosh. Depth's not great, but I don't think there's a pressing need to switch someone over.

Was just trying to be sensitive to Steven and Dad

nresponse to #4 JHarris
Looking back at high school film I would say Duerig. Adams too valuable on OL to consider for DL

Had the opportunity to speak with his family several years back at the Louisville away game. What an awesome family, hate to hear this for a young promising kid. first and foremost is his health

In 2015, right? At the tailgate. Gawd, that was FUN =D

Cubs...Good luck to Steven in whatever he chooses for the rest of his college days and beyond. I was very impressed when i met him and can tell that he was brought up to be respectful and a overall good person. That will get him far in life. He has you and his mother to thank for that. Like everyone else here, I am disappointed in the decision made by the team doctor but i have faith that Steven will adjust to this quite well. Please pass on my well wishes.
