Offense looks alot like last year . Guards dribbling out front, not doing enough to get others involved, then jacking up shots or turning the ball over.

We need to be able to do more than score on threes and in transition. A half court game would be nice.

Deeper than last year. Improvements from several bench players. Frosh look promising.

no doubt we are deeper and have a TON of potential. unless our starting guards show some improved ability to facilitate for others in the half court, scoring against the better defensive teams in the conference will be a chore.

the only reason we have this lead is because of three point shooting, and that is sort of fool's gold.

...MCW only one to get ball into Melo...we need to bring post players into game...I feel that Dion "pounding the ball as the announcer says" is doing that too much....

Fordham was packing the paint for the first 10 minutes and Fab and our forwards weren't coming out to shoot a midrange jumpers. If they take the bait and Fab comes out for the pick and role more then we can get more inside buckets. We can get the ball inside to him and Rak more once he gets behind his man headed to the basket. Fab isn't a bump one on one kinda guy hes a transiton scorer right now that gets putbacks with inside position.

Christmas is the same, with less of a distance away from the hoop and much less jumpshot then Melo as a fresh(which is ok even for a national championship team).

The Syracuse offense has never been one to dazzle in the X's and O's department, JB's approach allows for player creativity and individual talent to shine. While there's a ton of depth, coming into the season there was no true stud on offense, not unlike last year. A lot can happen over a season but very early on that doesn't appear to have changed. If no one emerges as a guy who can take over a game or at least carry the offense when things bog down, the team's fate likely won't be much different than last year.
