What makes you say that about slayton? I could have sworn I heard last year was supposed to be his year around here. I think he can be solid but not the next warren sapp.

Missed where he said he'd be NFL HoF good. Just that he'd shock everyone - and I think that's likely too. Guy is repeatedly mentioned with the previous staff for being huge and strong, now with the new S&C guys? I think this year is the year our inside DL guys make a name for themselves in the league.

He was helping carry an injured and battered line and still collected over 10 tfl's im pretty sure as a sophomore. Im expecting big things this year.

Hopefully Clark gets back to 100%. Slayton with an in-shape Samuels (Wishful thinking) and a beastly McKinley Williams will help.

Aside from Clark late in the season and Pickard for a few games, how was the defensive line injured and battered? That unit had far fewer injuries than the secondary or the offensive line.

Thought our interior DL played well last year. Young on the edges, but more depth and experience this year should result in more pressures.

Slayton is our most gifted DL... Production from the DL is a funny thing, and not always indicative of talent.

I believe he still lead the DL in Tkls/solo tkls/sacks & tfl's... so what's a breakout year for him? 10 sacks from the interior?

Also he's started the majority of his 24 games on the hill while consistently being bounced back and forth from outside to in.

That being said, a healthy Clark alongside Slayton is a great combo.

Slayton is a beast.
