Game is from 1990 at MSG. Me thinks you will like the outcome:).

Yeah, this is a game they never show on ESPN Classic. They're also running the '94 G'town game next week for the 1st time that I can recall.

Wow, they're showing the 2008 Georgetown game too. Not sure that one is worth sitting through. Watch the referees gift Georgetown an overtime period so they can beat Boeheim's worst team ever? Meh, no thanks.

I would still love to see the game back in 87 when we waxed UNC and JR (overrated) Reid in the NCAA Tourney

You can buy that one on www.ncaaondemand.com

Still waiting for the NCAA/espn to finally release old games for fans someday.
They would only make money off it.
Something like buy 10 games for 100 dollars would be nice.

I have that on VHS somewhere along with the Florida game. That was a great run.

Really enjoying this game so far. What an era. Cuse is playing MTM, DC's out there grabbing every rebound in sight, Billy Owens being top 10 in the conference in like every imaginable category (just showed a graphic of 18.4/8.7/5.2 APG, seemingly unthinkable for a collegiate player today)...in something of a twilight zone moment, LeRon Ellis and Stevie Thompson just knocked down back to back 3s. That might be the only time that ever happened :) DC's sporting some hair, I felt like he had abandoned that look earlier in his career; he's also just about the only guy out there who's not rockin a sweet flat top. Even seeing Johnnies like Robert Werdann, Jayson Williams, Boo Harvey, local kid Jason Buchanan and the late Malik Sealy is pretty cool.

It was really unfortunate that we had Mike Edwards as point guard (and Stevie Thompson as back up point guard). As talented as this team was, that was a glaring weakness. Plus, I was never a big LeRon Ellis fan, but he wasn't the reason that we didn't win the NC that year.

Agree, this is fun to watch. I don't ever remember seeing Stevie hit anything but dunks, layups and short j's. Hard to believe we had Coleman and Owens on the same team. Wow.

If Kenny Anderson hadn't been bought and paid for by GTech, he would have been the missing piece of the puzzel.

If Earl Duncan hadn't behaved like a selfish 19-year-old kid, he would have been the missing piece of the puzzle.

And a senior sherm the year before, damn illinois.

Nope. That honor goes to Bobby Cremins. If his boosters hadn't put up so much $$$ for Kenny Anderson, Anderson would have worn Orange and a ring at the end of that season. It was Kenny's dream to play with Billy Owens, but $$$ always speaks louder. Oh well.

His problem is that he listened to his pal Keith "the traitor" Hughes, who wasn't good enough to play over DC, Billy, LeRon, etc. When Hughes decided to bolt for home and NJ State, he got Earl to go along for the ride to mediocrity. I still remember the game where they came back to the Dome as seniors to fill part of our December schedule. I was sad that we lost Duncan, but I couldn't stand Hughes. He thought he was the and would lead Rutgers places. Yawn.
