Dykes is an SEC/UK homer, but he saw us up close and personal in Maui. That is why he likes our team. It doesn't hurt that this Syracuse team is completely balanced with Fair/Ennis/Cooney/Grant being good with Coleman/Christmas as decent bigs and we have Freshman in case of emergency. Also, the defense will get better with more reps on the season.

The other thing about his segment on Sports Center this morning is that his highlight of the year in college hoops was Robert Morris win over Kentucky in the NIT. Another reason to pull his lifetime Kentucky ticket.

I used to feel the same way, but I think as he has seen us play more, he has grown to like us. We are a likable team, and broadcasting games from the Dome when it's rocking can't help but have an effect. I think he first began to like us when Southerland hit those 9 threes at Arkansas. I recall Dykes calling that game.

Dykes likes to fawn over bluebloods - he only creams himself for Kentucky and Calipari, but still gets pretty excited when Kansas plays. He mist see Syracuse as becoming part of that small top tier of program
