Estime

I don't think he usually returns punts. Good call by the coaching staff. Desir would have gotten his usual 3 yard return on punts.

They wanted him to learn the offense first, we were told.

Estime starting getting reps towards the end of the seasons on punts starting deep in minus territory, anything going near our 20 they are using Desir because he is more sure handed.

Some things can't be taught, he has some of them. Depending on what happens in the next two years, he's got a future in the league returning kicks/punts
Obviously there was one thing Minnesota's Punter couldn't be taught, not to outkick his coverage

THis was what we all been waiting for. He showed it in HS. I had a feeling all game that he was gonna do something special in the return game. We got what we wanted. Props to Mcdonald for sticking with him even though there was concern of him not qualifying. His recruitment of him kept our bowl winning streak going. He was a huge pick up late in the recruiting process.

When was the last time a long kick off or punt return won, or set up a win, for us? I'm not coming up with one off the top of my head.

I believe Max Suter used to get some decent run backs.

I've got to think it was Jamel Riddle. Brisly owed that one to Hunt though after the TD pass that bounced off his face mask. Nice to see they still stuck with him. It sure paid off.

Suter vs Louisville

That punt return was amazing! 70 yards to put us in position to win the game??!!! Long gone are the days when we had to comb the roster just to find someone who could reliably catch the ball, and even attempting a return was out of the question.

Right before every punt i flashbacked to the 100x i watched that punt return on his HS highlight tape. Always wondered if it was sped up or he was that fast. Guess I finally got my answer.

My wife can usually tell when I'm watching HS highlight videos by the repetitive rap music that suddenly emanates from my computer.

I my closing-in-on-dementia memory is showing me hints of Eddie Koban and Scott Schwedes having big momentum changing punt returns.
Everytime I see a punt soar past its coverage I am 80% sure there will be at least a 20 yd returns. This one felt 100%, I still cannot believe that kicker got him. He almost slipped his ankle free.

I wanna take credit for that punt return. I asked for a big return moments before that happened.

You're welcome everyone.

But seriously...why was he not returning kicks all year?
Hey, then I should get credit for every fumble recovery and interception. I ask for both on every play!

Estime not scoring worked out nicely for us running some extra time off the clock. Don't get me wrong, I would have loved to see him score, but hey, it worked out.
