I am happy. I didn't want to "jinx" things by posting in any of the previous "will he return?" threads.

This news certainly does not harsh my MELO...

...I'll show myself out.

CUSE will clean up this Saturday!

I have (had)a friend who after nearly every game last year called to bash Melo. I stopped taking his calls after the hardhead would not listen to reason. I tried to explain to him that big men take longer to develop and to have patience.

This year (that friend) has been unwilling to give Fab any credit at all. It's always, he hasn't done anything against anybody good. Let's see what he can do against Sullinger.

Even after we lost and had two close games in Melo's absence and all the talking heads saying we aren't championship material without him, this friend him would not concede.

Do you any of you have anybody like that in your life?Oh Lord

The kind of person who will never take blame for anyone or admit they were wrong, it's always someone else's fault? Humble is not in their vocabulary? I know whatcha mean.

it's very good news to have Fab back... should be interesting to hear what the so called experts have to say this week about his return

All you have to do is point to Seikaly. The two of them are very similar. Both primarily soccer players who were relatively new to hoops when they came to SU.

Rony redshirted his freshman year and was so raw when he started paying the next season that he would frequently miss on dunks, not to mention that he was just horrid at the line.

But look what happened. By Rony's junior year the guy was an irreplaceable piece, offensively and defensively on a team that went to the Final Four. That's what I see for Fabulous Melo if he sticks around long enough.

SO glad he'll be playing on Saturday!

No matter how much I point out the pluses of the zone, Igor can't see it.

We are about due for another rout. I want to see a 15pt + win. Those young Johnnies shouldn't be able to compete.

Questions:

1. Will there be some sort of formal announcement? Not that I don't trust anonymous sources on a blog, but I would feel much better to see a formal announcement like Coach JB said there would be.

2. Assuming he is back, is that the end of it? Is this situation totally resolved for the year or could it somehow rear back up again? I have to assume he is set for the rest of the academic year, but since we don't know exactly what happened, it is a valid question.

I have 16 people in my life like that. Never take responsibility for their actions, can't be reasoned with and always blame others. Of course I am a 5th grade teacher.

I think unfortunately everybody has to know "that guy" in their life. I just make sure I'm never "that guy", would hate to live my life like that.

I'll say the same thing I tell my kids: "Who cares what other people think?" :noidea:
