You can count it for a decade as long as one season started or ended in that decade, As you can tell, I am partial to sitcoms.

1950s - Dennis the Menace - Joseph Kearns and Jay North had hilarious chemistry
1960s - Dick Van Dyke Show - Mel and Buddy just crack me up and the rest of the cast was really good too. Close second is Mister Ed - You gotta love a sarcastic talking horse
1970s - The Bob Newhart Show - Bob reacting off the antics of the other cast members was awesome
1980s - Cheers
1990s - King of Queens
2000s - The Office
2010s - I don't watch much current tv but I'll go with The Big Bang Theory

1960s - Star Trek
1970s - All in the Family
1980s - Moonlighting
1990s - Seinfeld
2000s - Six Feet Under
2010s - Mad Men

60s - The Jetsons
70s - Good Times
80s - Growing Pains
90s - Seinfeld
00s - The Wire
10’s - Breaking Bad

I'll have to think about it a little, but the ones that come to mind immediately are:

80s: Hill Street Blues
90s: Seinfeld

60s Get Smart
70s Barney Miller
80s Night Court
90s Newsradio
00s Breaking Bad
10s Game of Thrones

After looking at the other lists, a clear oversight for me not to include Seinfeld so I'm modifying mine.

1990s - Seinfeld
2000s - King of Queens
2010s - The Office - even though I only like the first 4 or 5 seasons and not really the seasons from this decade.

Hill Street Blues is one drama I do like. I was a kid back when it was on but I have watched it as an adult. I remember being in bed and hearing the distinctive themes from St Elsewhere and Hill Street Blues as my parents watched both every week.

St. Elsewhere was another great one. Howie Mandell went on to other things ;) , and Eric Laneuville, who played an orderly went on to a great career as a director. He has directed many shows you all have seen - L.A. Law, Doogie Howser, NYPD Blue, ER, Gilmore Girls, Monk, The Mentalist, Lost, Blue Bloods, and a ton of others.

for me the 50s, 60s and even 70s are biased by shows that got heavy rerun play

50s: twilight zone
60s: star trek
70s: columbo
80s: hill street blues
90s: larry sanders show
00s: sopranos
10s: breaking bad

1950s - you people are old (but I loved Honeymooners reruns)
1960s - you people are old (but I loved Gilligan’s Island and Munsters reruns)
1970s - Threes Company (Ropers > Furley)
1980s - Who’s the Boss (unhealthy obsession with Alyssa Milano)
1990s - Seinfeld, with The Simpsons as a very close second.
2000s - The Sopranos (yeah first season was 1999 and awesome)
2010s - Veep

some how the biggest show MASH isnt even mentioned by anyone.,

I love star trek but it was a rating disaster in the 60's

where the Gunsmoke love.. Westerns were all the rage for about 10-15 yrs.

loved WKRP but it was on like 2 yrs.

that NBC run in the 90s-00s was epic and that doesnt include Friends or Frazier

Yep - good call re: M*A*S*H. That would be my 70's pick.

was watching the lone ranger just a couple weeks ago and for some reason it never stood out to me that a different dude played the ranger for almost 2 yrs after a contract dispute. must be he reruns i watched as a kid didnt include those episodes.

All in the Family / Threes Company
Cosby Show / Knight Rider
Seinfeld / King of Queens
The Office / Curb your Enthusiasm
Game of Thrones / Impractical Jokers

I am a mess

This is a mostly forgotten show. Anyone old enough to have watched would probably rate it pretty high. (1961-1965)
