February 1

Depends on how we look at it. On 1 February 1914 we were 4-0, well on our way to a 12-0 record. On 1 February 1918 we were 8-0 and on our way to a 16-1 season that would be awarded the national championship years later. 1 February 1926, same deal - 11-0, on our way to 19-1 and a post-dated national championship.

More recently, on 1 February 2000 we were 18-0; we'd finish 8-6. On 1 February 2010, 21-1 (we'd beat Providence the next night and Wes Johnson would injure his hand; we stretched it to 24-1, but he wasn't healthy until our fourth-to-last game).

So it's not our best start through this date, but it's tied for our best 23-game start.

Damn i didnt realize we were still undefeated on feb 1 in 2000, i knew we started 19-0 but i figured our 1st loss came before feb 1.

2010 had to be up there too

2010 we were 21-1 on feb 1 and 22-1 on feb 2.
