That first touchdown by Strickland was one of the loudest moments I've experienced in the Dome. I remember looking at my buddy and just saying holy ship that was loud.

Decided at 2pm that day to come home from school for the game. Drove straight from UMass to Skytop. I never would have forgave myself if I missed that game. Smiled ear to ear the entire car ride home by myself.

Best game I've been too in the Dome. The place was electric all night.

And if anyone was wondering the jump from over the railing to the field is a lot higher than you might expect!

What a great game!

I've told this story on the forum before, but five years ago...

The Clemson game was on a Friday night, and overlapped with a wedding rehearsal where I was a groomsman. I never miss games, so I was bummed, but figured we were going to get rolled -- so I set the game up to tape and figured I'd just check it out later. I think we went right down the field and scored, so right away my phone starts blowing up. Then we jumped out like 14-3, and now I'm starting to pay attention -- but I don't want to be rude at my friend's rehearsal, so I'm not watching it yet.

Afterwards, we go to the dinner, and now I'm watching the game on my phone. The brother-in-law [who is from another country] asked if I was rooting for Clemson. When I told him Syracuse, he got interested -- because unbeknownst to me, the in-laws were originally from Auburn, and they are big 'Cuse fans, and they'd influenced him to become one, as well.

So now four or five people are huddled around my phone watching the second half, and hanging on every play. And when we pulled it off, lots of celebration / adult beverages were consumed. Seeing Dungey have that key 40 yard run down the right sideline in the 4th quarter, we erupted -- much to the annoyance of many of the other diners.

I'll never forget it! Zoomed home afterwards and rewatched the entire game -- awesome.

i remember going for thinking we had no chance, to there's a chance, to we got this. I can't quite remember the point in the game, but I leaned over to my wife and said we did it. It was glorious and probably the best game I've ever been to (my first game was Nebraska as a teenager)
