Found this interesting

I saw a tweet by a female Clemson fan saying our fans were rude but the shuttle bus service was great and Clemson should learn from it. At least in her estimation something was good about the trip. ;)

And you really shouldn't read that forum. Most of the posters are idiots. That's why gbo posts on here.

I totally agree with the tigernet comment. Born, raised in Syracuse and attended SU - The Dome is a dump as is the city. Can't believe we can't do any better as a university or city. Haven't been back to a game in years and was surprised to see the same old Dome, crowded, hot and not very interesting. Glad I live in California!

I think most of what he said is fair. Calling the dome a dive or a dump doesn't make sense to me. I don't think he understands what these words mean.
The stadium in Birmingham, where there are rats running around the concourse and things are dirty and falling apart...that is a dump or a dive. The Dome is clean, well maintained, everything works, the restrooms are clean, the toilets and urinals work, etc.

He should have mentioned the sight lines, which are by far the best in college football. The small footprint for the dome makes things cramped but also put the fans extremely close to the field.

I think it is fair to call it spartan. I think it is fair to criticize the building for narrow concourses, lack of openness and relative lack of elevators, escalators and stairways. There could be more bathrooms, especially behind both end zones.

The food choices are extremely limited and unappealing. The sound system is not very good. The replay scoreboards are adequate. The seating in uncomfortable. The lack of AC makes a game or two a year for football (Clemson qualified) uncomfortable.

Nah I like seeing what the average meat head football fans thinking. And it's good their ignorant town/city/area comments, that's what keeps the rif raf out and the population down dolts like that who limit their exposure away from the areas that make this part of the country the best.

But anyway found the dome comments fascinating as knew it was loud but the loudest? Wow

That's good stay out there:
We will hope you don't get burned up in a wild fire, crushed by an earthquake or drown when CA falls into the Pacific. Have fun with the traffic too. I've lived around the country enough, traveled the world to know better.

And guess what there's a little dome renovation going on. California?! LOL

I’m glad you live there too

Glad you’re not a fan anymore.

It will be very interesting to see what impact the new roof has on the loudness of the Dome.

I haven't seen anything written or speculated about this yet. I would think that having most of the new roof becoming hard, more sound will be reflected back towards the fans and the field and it will be louder than ever. It looks like the PTFE middle section might be good at absorbing sound, but kevlar is good as well.

The roof will be a little higher. That might hurt the loudness a little.

My guess is that the Dome will get a little louder. Any acoustic experts willing to weigh in on this?

If you haven't been here in years not sure how you'd know anything about the city... or campus for the matter...

His comments come off as disparaging, but plenty of people leave Syracuse for work or family reasons. If his handle is Dome Eddie I'm pretty sure he's a fan.

Here Here, I have lived in California and spent enough time there to know that I would much rather live in CNY. issues everywhere and to each his own

Now that I have lived in AZ for a while I was concerned that I would be too hot in the Dome. The tunnel was stifling for the 45 minutes we were standing there waiting to do the pre game flag ceremony. But I was very comfortable in my seats. I had spoken to the Clemson fans that morning, and they also were coming from 105+ heat. I find it hard to believe that if I felt ok, that a fan from Clemson where it is hot AND humid felt worse. The fans I spoke to in the morning were not really concerned with the heat potential for that same reason.

Plus they thought the food at the Italian fest was good...gives you a sense of their taste, eh, paisan?

(Kinda reminds me of Sterling Hayden in the Godfather - "how's the Italian food in this restaurant?")

I'm not at all an expert, but my guess is that the higher ceiling would probably dampen the noise a little. Aren't we talking 10-20 feet in height? Over 6.5 acres, that's a lot of extra cubic feet to eat the noise.

Yeah, I thought that was the key takeaway too.

The weather, short of a brief rainfall, was perfect this weekend. The Dome is fine, most college stadiums are old. And it's getting a facelift anyway. Plenty of fun places to go downtown, for food or beverages. The campus looks beautiful and is improving it's appearance with each new building.

Anyone who trashes this stuff probably trashes everything in their life.

Clemson fan behind me raved about the sight lines and how it's the best place to see a game in the upperdeck of any stadium in america. Loves coming up to Syracuse for a game.

I felt like the Clemson fans were great and the Syracuse fans i met were great too. Every experience there are .5% turds involved. usually those who run into them detail it online.

Here is a different point of view, also from Tigernet:
Always good to hear opposing fans enjoyed visiting our beautiful campus and area. I think most of us CNY people are very nice to the fans who come here for visits.

The majority of Clemson twitter people were claiming we intentionally injure players.

So there’s that. But overall my friends said the Clemson fans that attended the dome are always friendly.

Best fanbase, in person both here and DV, I've ever come across. Online is a different story but without fail they've been awesome. LSU fans were a close second.

LSU fans are my favorite. But Clemson fans are really good. A few sat near me and were pleasant. I apologized to them for calling the Refs incompetent several times. We wished each other good luck the rest of the season. It was good to meet them at the Fine Mess also - nice people.
