The last two home games I ventured into the back court where to my surprise they were handing out goodies such as SU beads, sturdy drink cozies & discount booklets. You can try your hand at pull ups at the Marine recruiting area. Get prizes corresponding to how many you do. While I was there a kid did 10 pullups and received a nice fleece ski cap. I asked the friendly officer if it was too late for me to join the Marines, he said it's never too late. I asked him, 'At my age what how many pull ups would I need to do in order to get a prize?" He looked me over and said, "I'll tell you what, if you can get up and hang from the bar I'll give you one", I asked for a chair, that's when he threw me out.
At every game Rosie Bouie's back there. He's in charge of the charity free throw toss, pay $5 you get three tries, not sure what you win. It used to be a mini basketball. I think the most fun I had was at the photo booth. They have an array of things you can wear or put on your head when being photo 'd. Back in the day, we used to go to Suburban Park, where they had those contraptions. It was fun to go into the booth with your best buddy or a girlfriend and make some goofy faces. You've probably seen them before looking through family albums, they were usually in sepia or crude color. It's free and you get 2 sets of four different photos. Last night I roped my son into going in with me. Good times.
