It's funny, when I was a kid and looking at the field, I'd look at like a 4-13 or 5-12 and think there was no chance the 12 or 13 could win. Then as I got older I'd start looking at the lines. Th e classic case is probably SU-A&M, where I think the game went off the board as a pick em despite it being a 5-12.
Anyway, here are some lines that kinda stick out to me.
tOSU is -17 in their game, we are only -16 in ours.
K-State is in the 8-9 game, they're 5.5 point favorites over So miss. Bigger favorite than UNLV vs Colorado (6-11) and the same as Vandy vs Harvard (5-12)
West Virginia in the 7-10 game as the 10, probably in part due to the location, they are -1 vs Gonzaga.
Murray State in the 6-11 game; only 3 point favorites vs Colorado State. (And they are close to home).
Georgetown only 4.5 point favorites vs Belmont.
NC State and San Diego State in the 6-11 game, pick em.
Florida State in the 3-14 game, also only 5.5 point favorites.
Cincy 1 point favorite in the 6-11 vs Texas.
Always looking at this stuff when making my picks for pools also.
