  • 5PM St. Bonaventure at Davidson: I think the A-10 is getting at least two teams in the Dance. St. Bonaventure is in either the last 4 in or 1st 4 out bucket. Davidson is not a bad team and this would be a damaging loss to an already sparse resume. Go Flyers and push the Bonnies firmly out.
  • 6:30PM NC State at Virginia: State is not in the at large discussion but they sit at #81 in the recent NET rankings. Not likely to occur, but if the Wolfpack were to win at UVA they would move up into the top 75 and we would have our 1st Quad 1 victory!
  • 7:00PM Marquette at UNC: Smart scheduling by UNC and curious to why we can’t do this. Marquette is a Q3 game which pads the win total for the Heels. Some downside if they lose but it also protects them because they end with FSU, at Cuse and Duke. Wins are valuable if you expect to lose a few coming up.
  • 7:00PM Seton Hall at Butler: the Hall sits around 11 seed range (either one of last 4 byes or play in). Butler stinks but did beat Creighton and St. Johns earlier in the year. Pull for the Bulldogs in this one.
  • 8:00PM Indiana at Rutgers: Despite mediocre records both teams have done enough to warrant a bid. Indiana falls a little lower in the projected 11 seed range and has a tougher end of season schedule (Michigan and at Purdue after this). Root for the Scarlet Knights to smack the Hoosiers and drop them to 12-11 with a chance to fall below 500.
  • 9:00PM Xavier at Providence: Musketeers are similar in profile to the Hall. Not much meat on the bone but they are hanging their hats on an early season win over Oklahoma. A loss here would hurt the profile. Go Friars!
Go Cuse!
