counting hampton & lamelo, goodman has 19 freshman in the first round.
that means, if he was ranking them as recruits, he likely would have quincy as one of his top 20 freshmen, therefore a 5 star in this class. for those of you who care about such things
and also one of the 5 best freshman in the acc. which will prove to be correct, i think.
quincy is in a great spot to stand out. he will be no better than the 3rd option on offense; everything will go first through eli & then buddy. defenses will key on them. that should give quincy the opportunity to put up both strong counting stats and quality efficiency numbers. and on defense, the zone gives guys like him the chance to shine as help side shot blockers and to accumulate steals. i remember when wes johnson was drafted, some analysts pointed to his average of 3.5 blocks+steals per game as a great indicator of his defensive prowess. i'm not predicting quincy will meet that lofty number, but he's in a good position to come close
