To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have:
Experience with online community engagement and a demonstrated ability to build, maintain and engage an active digital audience (pulling content in rather than pushing content out).
A solid, inside-out understanding of sports, including college sports; deep knowledge of Syracuse University sports is preferred.
Familiarity with audience engagement metrics across platforms (Omniture, Facebook engagement stats, etc.) and an ability to translate them into actionable data.
Very strong writing and editing skills; journalistic experience and a solid understanding of news writing, journalistic ethics and story structure is preferred.
The ability to interact with audience and community members with tact and diplomacy.
Experience with search engine optimization and social media optimization practices, and the ability to leverage social media to promote content.
The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under deadline pressure.
Demonstrated organizational skills.
