Totally different team today. See what happens next week but Doug may have earned a few more paychecks

He showed what an awful HC Gus Bradley was. He had that team fired up and mixed in trick plays and Bortles played probably one of his best games ever.
Win next week and when the Rams hire Sean Payton then Douglas could be the next HC of NO Saints.

One more win and Marrone will even his NFL record to .500.

Re-writing notebooks as we all celebrate Christmas/Hannukah...

Beat the Colts and he'll be getting some interviews.

Bortles played well because he didn't care if Marrone stays as HC. :)

Blake Bortles admittedly felt all the pressure of Jacksonville's lofty preseason expectations.
Knowing the stakes included popular coach Gus Bradley's job, Bortles played tight all season. He tried to do too much and then even more when losses mounted.
''I put way too much of it on my shoulders,'' Bortles said. ''Probably way more than anybody else.''
Bortles was finally able to let it go after Bradley was fired last week.

Regardless of what happened here, I'm still pulling for the guy...
I just don't get the hand wringing here about FHCDM.
Guy came here, righted the ship. The job was not what he had made it to be in his dreams. The NFL called, and he took on the challenge. Good for him.
I assume that anyone on here who rips him for doing that must have married their first girlfriend, because in their world, how you feel about things never changes.

But he brought some of the staff with him! Nobody EVER does that!

Those people seem to forgot how horrible and embarrassing the Gerg years were. Doug wasn't a warm and fuzzy guy and that makes it easier for people to bash him I guess. The NFL came calling for about 2.5x the salary. I would say every single person who bashes him would have taken that job too

Even that first year with Paulus, almost bowl eligible 4-8 and two games that we absolutely gave away I think that was the pattern during his tenure lose games we should have won. Rutgees year two prime example
