The dude is still a tool, but he has created a big program at Auburn. I think the article is a little too much rah-rah, but he has the best chance to win the NCAAT. If it comes down to Auburn vs Duke, I have to go with the Dukies. Pretty much rooting for anyone but the SEC and the B1G.

The last B1G National Championship in basketball was in 2000. Michigan St. is their best team for odds this year at 25-1. Looking like 25 years and counting.

people in Mississippi this week were really surprised at how good - and how fast - the SEC has become a powerhouse.
There were easily 100 people watching the Ole Miss-Tennessee game and cheering for both sides.
"House Divided" used to be a joke regarding football (Ole Miss <> Miss State) but now it's totally basketball.
Only one person was upset about SU ousting Miss State in 1996, and he couldn't remember one player (I remembered Dampier but forgot about Dontae').

Auburn took their program seriously by hiring a former coach who had success despite his checkered past. It's the same w ole Miss and Chris beard. St Johns and Pitino. SU has been scared and risk averse while not providing proper resources.

Pride. Considered worst of the seven deadlies...

Pearl needs to get one of his stars- Chad Baker Mazara - under control. Dude routinely gets tossed from games for double flagrant fouls.

classy guy, (not!). It's about the language you would expect from this dolt. Was there any repercussions or apologies from him saying that or did everybody including ESPN let it slide? Pete Rose said something similar on an interview at Big Red Machine reunion and I don’t think anything happened. Pete and Pearl are about on the same level for class and grace, they have have none.

Does boeheim fit in the “checkered past” standard with 2 probations

We smell our own farts morally up in Syracuse sometimes

Yeah, like if your willing to stick with an employee with a history, how can you play the moral high ground card in terms of who not to hire?

Now JB was an alum, legend, king, etc but the folks on the hill need to get over themselves and think otuside the box a little sometimes. I know Fran is an example of outside the box a little and maybe that could set a precedent moving forward.
