How do Izzo and Pitino do it?

How do Izzo and Pitino get their teams to peak heading into post-season play almost every year? It's very rare that you see a Lville or MSU team slumping in post season play. They seem to always be on an upswing. What's the secret formula that allows for their teams to look like a mess in January and early February but get it all together by March?

they are developing a bench in the early season. both coaches regularly play 9-10 guys

Both Izzo and Pitino get their players to play with fire, confidence, aggression, and swagger.

Coach B, I know these words are not in your vocabulary. Please look them up:

LOL yeah syracuse doesn't play with fire, confidence, aggression and swagger. How do we win all these games? Luck? Or we just have so much more talent? Try thinking before you just type something as dumb as that.

The ball movement in the UM MSU game was outstanding.

These teams have more than one shooter.

They have more than one ball handler.

They don't play players who bobble the ball consistently.

Their players attack the rim. You don't see them shooting 3' fadeaways.

As to the intensity, perhaps they demand it?

JB has a 10-2 record against those two coaches.
