I hope you're right because that's the only way we make it past the sweet 16. If we don't play Vandy I think we make the final four.

Game one, we win.

Game two, we have the 3rd toughest 8/9 matchup. UK has the toughest, MSU, second toughest, We have the third, and UNC the easiest.

Game three, assuming Wisconsin/Vandy. Both can be scary for us, but both are also overseeded imo. Dont see any reason we should lose to either.

Game four, I would rather have OSU than Kansas or Mizzou and FSU is overseeded. In Boston, I would expect us to beat either of them.

Game five, UNC/Kansas. Toss up. Like our chances.

Game six, assuming UK. Toss up. 50/50

*This is all assuming we play like we are capable of, or close to it. If bad Scoop, sad Brandon and invisible KJo show up we can lose in round 2. If they play around the level they've played all season I think we're Final 4 bound and a Championship is in our reach.

I think Vandy is the better team, but Wisconsin plays a style that could give us more problems. I would rather play Wisconsin. Vandy is the UCONN of our bracket. UCONN has a ton of talent, underachieved all year and played us tough all 3x. Vandy has a ton of talent, played UK tough 3x and beat them once. I still cant see us losing to them though. As far as I've seen they dont have that player that can kill us at the free throw line, which means we should extend the zone on their shooters and tell Fab that if youre going pro, you need to be able to stop Ezeli.

Haven't made my picks yet, but I'm "all in" on us making Final Four and somehow winning it all. While my heart says we win it all, my head says its unlikely. Like others on this board, I can just as easily see us in the Final Four as well as losing to Southern Miss. I just hope that JB gives MCW & Rak at least 10 mins on Thurs to give them some tourney experience. We will need them to contribute if we are going to make a deep run - especially if Scoop can't shake his recent funk and Feb gets into foul trouble.

Thats my feeling too. We can win it all or lose on Saturday. It all depends on Scoop/KJo/Triche. If they shake their collective funk we will roll our region, if not its going to be a grind.

Agree, you do actually have to beat some good teams to win a Championship. Id rather play the KSU/S.Miss winner than UCONN or Memphis. Vandy/Wisc are decent, maybe overseeded but dangerous teams for us, wish we could have had an Indiana or Michigan but Vandy/Wisc are teams we should beat, if we cant we were never winning it anyway. Id much rather have OSU than Kansas or Mizzou so I dont mind our bracket.

People are basing their statements on watching vandy/fla state yesterday. Take uconn out of the equation (plus they had kemba) and rarely do these teams who win the conf tourneys out of nowhere have success in the tourney. Throw louisville into this conversation.

This. Had FSU adn Vandy lost yesterday, not only would their seeding have been worse, but they'd probably be a 5 (FSU) and a 7 (Vandy) and most people would be 50/50 on those games. If UNC had Henson, they win; if UK cared about yesterday, they win too.

Whoever thinks FSU and Vandy are scary watched ESPN too much yesterday.

Agreed. If we continue our recent quality of play we will be an early exit. In the NCAA not everyone is going to be on their A game - every game. It would be nice to be able to plug in someone who can make meaningful contributions on the stat sheet instead of just being a suit dummy.

I have to agree with JB ... this team will go as far as our seniors will take us. KJo and Scoop had a miserable BET and we know how that ended up. (Antecdote time: I was in Kinney's on Saturday and overheard a customer talking to the clerk. He was saying that we lost b/c of Melo; that everybody else was great. I wondered what game he was watching. CJ ... sick [hope he's better], KJo invisible, Bad Scoop, Dirty ... well back to pre-UConn Dirty [as far as shooting goes] ...Rak [Well maybe not the 5 after all] ... and thank heavens for Dion and Fab [Except how does Dion not miss an FT?]

Vandy is not overseeded they are underseeded. They did not play with Festus for the first 8 games of the season and lost 4 early games that they probably would have won if he played. That would make them 28-6 and a 3 seed possible 2 seed. They also had Kentucky beat TWICE this year, and beat them in their last game giving them confidence they can beat anybody.
