Seems no more than 1500.

Great job!

Edit - weather is significant part of the reason.

Edit of Edit - seems like weather should only be minor part of the reason. Primary reason is fanbase.

Great fan base. They truly are something special

Weather is a weak excuse. This is a weak snowfall in the metro area, only 6-8 as of now.

We have about 7-8 inches down here outside DC. Which of course means we're all going to die.

The sad truth is that college basketball is really a niche sport. Only 40 schools bring in 10,000+ per game and less than 20 bring in 15,000.* For a bunch of schools, 2 home football games outdraw their entire basketball home slate.

*Based on 2012-13 numbers. These numbers would be somewhat higher if seating capacities in some places (e.g. Cameron) allowed.

I see Rutgers missed a Golden Chance to move into a 6th place Tie in the AAC with UConn.
That perenniel power SMU dashed Rutger's hopes.

For being such an "irrelevant program" you losers sure do talk about us... A lot.

Says the guy trolling an opposing teams message board In the one thread that mentions his team.

I still don't like the Nazi's either but that doesn't make them relevant. Just a relic in the history books like... well uconn.

Not sure why it matters if they are a perennial power, but SMU is pretty competitive this year and are trending upwards. Outside of NYC, Chicago, and LA, Dallas probably has the best high school talent these days. We should be careful about casting stones.

Ancient Greece, the Roman empire, the British empire, the Ottoman empire, the third Reich, the soviet union. All irrelevant today. Still talked abou. People enjoy the stories that come from dead evil empires.

You mean the 15-4 team with the Hall of Fame coach? That SMU team? The 'girls never had a chance.

Halle-Bopp Cult, Branch-Davidians. Jonestown.
UConn is more akin to Koresh rather than Alexander the Great..
