I realize this is a kick in the cojones for all of us. We have endured the worst bad luck of any top program in the past decade since we won the title.

Even when it was good, it got bad... QUICKLY...

The Feisty team with GMAC at the helm wins the Big East in a whirlwind, then Gerry's body promptly falls apart before the NCAA's. I am not sure that team could have gone Final Four deep, but they still had a shot at more...

Before that, Hak's team gets overwhelmed by a hot shooting Vermont club. There is no telling what this particular team could have done, but it was an instant spirit crusher for sure...

After Gerry, we had a few lackluster years, that seemed to be a confluence of underachievement & sports politics that dug another hole for us.

Then, just as we appeared to have another title in our sites, cruel fate delivered another damnable blow at the hands of our worst enemy, Georgetown...

The loss of AO sealed our fate as an almost champion, & all we had left was our dreams of a resurrection & better days ahead...

Well, HERE WE ARE, & someone out there is asking us to make another choice. Do we curse God Foolishly, or do we grab the popcorn & sit back for an exciting show?

We will know which choice was correct when the credits are rolling on this movie...
